IT Partners Moves to an Entire Volkswagen Fleet

Last week we had the pleasure of delivering one more vehicle to IT Partners which completed their Volkswagen fleet.

While we were there we asked IT Partners Director, Andrew Johnson, “What made you choose to transition to VW for your entire fleet range?”

“Ebbett Volkswagen are so easy to deal with and they’re there when you need them. When we have extra staff starting, it [a new car] just happens. When we make changes, it all just gets taken care of. I sign a few bits of paper and we just get new cars all the time, it really makes life easy.”

“On top of that, the vehicles are better/safer for our team, and the VW brand fits in well with our brand values.”

“If I had to describe Ebbett Volkswagen in three words, it would be reliable, onto it, and organised.”

Amarok Announced NZ Ute Of The Year 2018

Amarok. NZ ute of the year. Sweet as.

The Volkswagen Amarok has taken away the 2018 AA Driven NZ Ute of the Year award on top of wining 2018 International Ute of the Year.

“Kiwis no longer see the ute as a work horse, instead it takes pride of place in the garage as the family vehicle, so it’s up to manufacturers to meet the needs and Volkswagen has done this in spades with the Amarok. Not only does it have superb handling but European styling inside and out while introducing the most powerful V6 diesel engine in its class.”

Polo Top Car of the Year

The Volkswagen Polo is New Zealand’s Stuff Top Car of the Year

The all-new Polo wows with its high-tech features not expected from a small car

Every year hundreds of new vehicles are assessed by motoring journalists and ranked on their merits against their competitors. This year, Volkswagen Polo has won the Supreme Award as New Zealand’s best car, of all cars on the market – Stuff Top Car of the year Award 2018.

“I do get very biased with our vehicles. I think our whole range is amazing, however there is something quite special about the Polo. The new Polo personifies everything that is great about Volkswagen and we are so very happy that it has won this award.”

Tom Ruddenklau, General Manager Volkswagen New Zealand

The new generation Polo was introduced in February 2018. It includes four impressive models, offering more choice than ever. The TSI, Beats, R-Line and GTI, the result is a broad range of models to suit different lifestyles and available from $25,490.

Polo stood out among the competition for its advanced technology, good looks and on-road capabilities. A class leader for its fuel efficiency and safety, Stuff journalists have labelled the Polo “the Simply Brilliant Allrounder.” Read the full review here.

With 17 million units sold world-wide, Polo has become an icon in its own right. Since its launch, Polo has also picked up accolades off shore including the prestigious Urban car of the year award at the New York Auto Show in March this year.

The Block NZ Winner Builds Volkswagens New Pukekohe Store

Meet Corban Walls of “Special Projects”, one half of Alex and Corban of The Block NZ fame.

Alex and Corban were The Block season three winners back in 2014. You may remember they became fan favourites after sharing their winnings with fellow contestants Ben and Quinn, donating $30,000 to top-up their modest winnings.

With an obvious flair for innovative design and construction, these two have continued to create in new and inspiring ways. Corban spends his time on Special Projects (the name of his bespoke engineering company) and both Alex and Corban run A&C Homestore, a retailer that brings together a selection of fashion, homewares, furniture and gifts.

For Ebbett Volkswagens new store on King Street, Corban and the Ebbett team had to work quickly to get the design & build right in order to meet the opening date of 8 September.

The store is a cleverly designed module system featuring two container sized spaces with a showroom spanning the width between. This elegant design allowed for the unit to be built off-site and transported in.

With space being a premium every detail has been considered in the design of the store from the in-built big screen car selector tool to the merchandise displays and colour & fabric selector walls.

Three Ebbett Volkswagen staff will soon call this home and along with the showroom there will be up to 30 cars on-site. Customers will also enjoy access to the full Ebbett VW stock range through the in-store digital experience, where each vehicle (new and used) can be viewed in full 360 degrees.

When asked about the project Corban said

“I hope everyone in Pukekohe likes what we’ve done for the Ebbett Volkswagen store. It was a great project to work on with fantastic support from the whole Ebbett team and I can’t wait to see if full of customers!”

Ebbett Volkswagen opens at 257 King Street, Pukekohe on 8th September.
